Media coverage

Anum Shaharyar
In defense, people say that the competition among these channels is cut throat and that with the boom of informational technology, these channels must do what they have to do, but downgrading themselves just to get the greatest number of views seems a tad harsh. Shouldn’t morality and ethics be considered?

Why can’t our media provide the news in a more sensitive manner, as should be the practice of most of our important media groups? As a journalism student, we are taught to keep a keen eye on how news is sent to the masses and thus assimilated, and it is horrifying to realize how far off sensible track Pakistani media had traveled. Surely there is a proper method to how the news can be portrayed, without putting a spin to it or dramatizing it beyond its need? It is high time those who provide the data to the masses learned a little responsibility.(Pakistan Observer)
