LAHORE – Renowned constitutional expert S.M. Zafar has urged Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed to make efforts for the passage of children’s free education bill in the Senate.“I introduced this bill as a member of the Senate many years ago, but it is still pending. As a senator, it is Mushahid’s duty to get this bill passed from the Upper House at the earliest,” Zafar said while addressing the launching ceremony of Mowahid Hussain Syed’s book titled ‘Will & Skill’ at Aiwan-e-Karkunan Tehrik-e-Pakistan on Wednesday.
The Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust (NPT) and Pakistan Movement Workers’ Trust (PMWT) jointly organised the launching ceremony of the book that throws light on some of the common challenges facing the Muslim world, especially Pakistan. ‘Will & Skill’ also highlights the achievements of the Pakistani nation in different fields ranging from sports to science.TheNation Editor-in-Chief and NPT Chairman Majid Nizami, who also wrote the book’s foreword, presided over the ceremony. Senator Mushahid Hussain Syed congratulated Majid Nizami on completing 50 years as editor of Nawa-e-Waqt and for rendering great services for journalism in Pakistan. Referring to a chapter of the book on Majid Nizami, Mushahid said that the veteran editor’s services for keeping alive the ideological basis of the country would never be forgotten. “Majid Nizami has never compromised on national security,” Mushahid said.
