American Journalists talk to Bilawal Bhutto Zardari about media issues

A delegation of nine American Journalists called on Pakistan Peoples Party Patron-in-Chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at the Bilawal House and discussed different issues pertaining to media.

A delegation of nine American journalists called on Pakistan Peoples Party Patron-In-Chief Bilawal Bhutto Zardari at Bilawal House and discussed different issues pertaining to the media.

These journalists are on a visit under Pakistan-US Journalist Exchange programme organized by Hawaii-based East-West Center.



Speaking with the delegation, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari hoped that the Exchange programme will enhance the level of credibility and accuracy in reporting with advent of growing social media and public scrutiny. Freedom of media and rights of freedom of expression of the people have both got interlinked due to the revolution of print, electronic, and social media, he added.

The American journalists’ delegation comprised of Kellen Henry, Sue McMittin, Sonia Narang, Chelsea Sheasley, Sonia Smith, Sara Sorcher, Beth Willon, Conrad Wilson, and James Wright. East-West Center’s G. Shabbir Cheema, Susan Kreifels and Jawadat Bilal of PILDAT attended the meeting.

Media Advisor to PPP Patron-In-Chief Jameel Soomro, Sherry Rehman and Hashaam Riaz Sheikh also attended.
